Probler P2 Trouble Shooting

This article features a selection of common problems applicators have experienced with the Probler P2 spray gun along with the cause and solution.

Gun does not actuate when triggered.

Air switch assembly is closed
Plugged exhaust
Damaged trigger spool o-rings

There is no fluid spraying when the gun is fully actuated.

Closed fluid valves
Plugged impingement ports
Plugged check valves

Gun actuates slowly.

Plugged exhaust
Damaged piston o-rings
Dirty air valve, or damaged o-rings

There is a leakage between flat tip and mixing chamber.

Tip is not seated properly
Damaged or missing seal

There is a pressure imbalance.

Plugged impingement ports
Plugged check valves
Plugged filters
Viscosities are not equal

There is A and/or B side fluid in the gun air section.

Damaged side seals
Damaged mixing chamber
Damaged side seal o-rings

Fluid mist from mix chamber or air cap.

The fluid does not shut off when fluid valves are closed.
